Rest is productive, rest is rebellion
In today's culture of seemingly neverending hustle, rest can often be misunderstood as laziness, rather than a form of quiet and necessary rebellion.
In truth, deliberate rest can be mentally productive and psychologically & physically restorative.
This chosen relaxation allows us to recover from the stressors of the day, gives opportunity for lessons to be more fully absorbed, and gives our subconscious mind the space to work by using all of the resources at its disposal, such as when in deep sleep.
Rest is the partner of work. Both are needed in order for our inner healing processes to function, for solutions to problems to flourish, and to work more efficiently in our day to day lives.
